Daryl's First Christmas Gift of the Season

For his birthday, Daryl got a RC airplane and his dad got the engine and all the innards needed for actual flight. Well, they flew it on Thanksgiving, and if you can remember from the post, it only lasted about 6 seconds. I heard flying a higher end RC helicopter may actually help learn how to work the controls and stuff....soooooo I may have won wife of the year with this gift. He opened it on Sunday night after Mia went to bed....I couldn't help it. I'd bought it Saturday. So, I did wait an actual 24 hrs :)

I LOVE how happy he looks in these pictures. He actually RTFM'd! He flew it around...Niles was mildly concerned, but Daryl was having the time of his life! Then he let me have a try. It was fun, but I felt out of control and insane. There's a LOT to think about while flying. All was good until I managed to make it fly toward ME! That just freaked me out! I dropped the control box and fell to the floor!

Happy Birthday recap...part 1

Oh my what a wonderful day(s)!! Some of my fab mama friends treated me to a birthday brunch. Thank you to Jenni for putting it all together and to Sara, Bonnie and Anja (and their lovely children) for the loving celebration. What a wonderful reason to have 2 mimosas before 12:30pm! I LOVED my huge blueberry pancake and migas taco, as well. More appreciation for Ankia and Mia for helping me with my MASSIVE slice of chocolate birthday cake! Below are some of my favorite shots.

My dear friend, Bonnie offered to watch Mia while Daryl took me out to a birthday dinner last night. Mia was super excited to hang with Bonnie, Dosh (Josh), Ben, Sammy and their two corgis, Tallulah and Tucker. I captured some video of Mia singing happy birthday to me then the conversation on the way to Bonnie's. It hilarious! Thanks for feeding, changing, reading to and all around caring for my baby while Daryl and I hit Fonda San Miguel's for a fabulous dinner and more importantly some dress up in a sexy dress and heels time with my husband :)

Happy Birthday...to ME!

Today's my birthday! I'm 38 (ask my mom and she'll tell you 'not till 10:33 pm), and for some reason, I totally feel today is all about me. Daryl showered me with kisses. Which is actually something he does everyday, but this morning he ended it with a super wonderful birthday kiss. Mia got me up extra early today...to spend some extra time with me...that's what I'm going with. The sun rose, I'm so sure of it, just for me...the sunrise was gorgeous, and something I usually miss, because Mia lets me sleep in. There was a bird tweeting for me.... Ok. This is getting to be too much, even for me :) just one more...Hellooooo it's Love Thursday! That has to be about me :)

I wanted to include some of my favorite shots of, well, Me and those who shared such fabulous moments with me. As I was going through them, I realized that I was didn't have with some of my dearest friends and family. If you don't find yourself in here, that means you need to be all lovey with me when a camera is around :)
