Jackson Pollack's painting style was the theme of last week's art playdate. A canvas was unrolled, paint poured, and then eight toddlers splattered paint....on the canvas, yes, but also on themselves and each other. They were actually not only allowed, but encouraged to throw paint.
My choice for BSM is this shot of Z. He had such a wonderful time colorfully painting and didn't even noticed he was being painted on, and being turned into a piece of art as well.

That wants to be in a frame! Just perfect.
That had totally got to be the coolest playdate ever! Love, love, LOVE this picture...the artist matches his art!
wow -- what a thrill for those kids! this is a great capture!
Nice persective on this! I think Z was a perfect canvas as well. What a fun time.
I still think it's crazy we had our BSM shots from the same event.
That is a really cool idea! And I love this photo!
That's a keeper for sure! Inspiration for a great summer activity with my own gang!
Looks like wonderful fun! We did that once with spraybottles with paint in them...messy but oh what a fun time!
Love it. I'm so bummed we missed this!
wow!! that looks like a blast!
I think this is such an amazing idea, and I LOVE opportunities where kids are encouraged to get messy. (Particularly if I do not have to clean up after them.)
Llama Llama Red Pajama is such a favorite here, and the second book, Llama Llama Mad at Mama is pretty cute too. Kids like us to make fools out of ourselves as often as possible, too, so any book where you get to use voices and act out emotions? Big hit.
How perfect is that?? Love it!
love it. just love it.
What a blast!!!! I hope there was a big vat of water nearby for when they were finished. :-)
This is priceless! I adore how his posture makes me think he is really contemplating his next paint toss...great capture!
Wow! This inspires to go ahead and get that big canvas I need! Great shot!
I love that!!! He is part of the painting. How unique!
That is a wonderful shot of Z - he's part art LOL! Great idea for the playdate, too. I imagine the kids had such a good time.
You should definitely FRAME this one as its own little piece of art. That is great!
That is art at its best and most fun. We may throw paint tomorrow.
I am in love with this shot!
I am just so loving this shot. If only I had the room to do the same! and the pressure cleaner...
