love is good

We were driving along. I was quiet, mellow, thinking....Mia was in her car seat, exhausted from swimming (there was a glorious break in the rain) also quiet, in her own world. Then she softly said something that I thought I heard, but wanted to make sure...so I asked what she had said. 'Mama, I love you so much.' Ahhhhhh I had heard right. 'I love you, too, honey.' Mia ended our short but oh, so sweet conversation by answering, 'love is good.'

Yes, it is, mija. Yes, it is.

Lovely. There is something too precious when your little ones declares their love for you and even better when it's for life too. Wonderful moment. :)

I look forward to the day that sophia can say that to me unprompted the way Mia did.

How sweet. My daughter says that to me all the time and it melts my heart each time. I never get tired of hearing it.

tanya, your blog is already full of love and sweet sweet pictures. i cruised around in there and now i want to see a fishing blog. i wrote a fishing post not so long ago, fishing for friends. i too love to fish. it took me a long time to figure out why the boys loved fishing so much, it's such a soothing quiet way to spend time with a friend, or to be alone.
